Allergy-friendly Ice Cream Treat

We've enjoyed some classic summer fun the past few weekends. We've already had fun at the pool, attended a baseball game, enjoyed a fun festival, eaten some great food at friends' picnics, and watched a Memorial Day parade. Whew!

Well, what goes best with summer fun?  ICE CREAM! Going out for ice cream is definitely a favorite childhood memory, and just a fun family activity on a warm summer night. Since Little Guy has a food allergy to dairy, we don't go out for ice cream, but we still want him to enjoy the whole ice cream cone experience!

I'm so thankful that there are many allergy-friendly options at our local grocery store - I know there weren't so many options even a few years ago. Maybe some day I'll make my own ice cream when I have more free time, but right now I'm so thankful I can buy this treat for Little Guy.

I've found a few safe flavors of So Delicious Coconut Milk ice cream (although there are a few that are definitely not allergy-friendly for Little Guy so we have to be careful to choose the right ones).  

Chocolate isn't usually my favorite, but I love this chocolate option as it's creamy and delicious!  I prefer mine in a bowl with Enjoy Life chocolate chips on top for some chocolate crunch!
